Jewelry designer, Myra Elizabeth, is passionate about creating elegant and feminine designs that enhance the beauty of the wearer. Although she keeps up with the current fashion trends, her pieces are created to stand the test of time. “I still pull out the first bracelet I ever made from my jewelry box and wear it today. I want my customers to do the same ten and twenty years from now.
Growing up surrounded by arts and crafts, with her father creating beautiful wood-turned bowls and her mother involved in oil painting, flower arranging and paper crafting, Myra comes by her creative talent naturally. As a young adult, she loved complimenting each of her outfits with just the right jewelry and accessories. This led her to create unique marbleized paper earrings. Then, ten years ago, Myra attended a “Make Your Own Jewelry” party in her neighborhood. Having been introduced to beaded jewelry, she was hooked! She began making jewelry for friends and family as gifts and her business grew. In January 2005, Myra Elizabeth Designs was born. Using her experience in sales and marketing, her website was launched a few months later.
Myra carefully hand picks the materials used in each design from her extensive inventory of semi-precious gemstones, Swarovksi crystals, freshwater pearls and precious metals. She has always been a perfectionist, which shows in her attention to detail in creating each piece of jewelry.
Myra’s studio overlooks beautiful Lake Arrowhead, located at the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains, drawing much of her inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds her. When not making or designing jewelry, she stays busy running her website, raising her three children with her husband, and trying to keep her three dogs from constantly barking at the deer. In her spare time, she enjoys paper crafting and both traditional and digital scrapbooking.
